Here’s another of my attempts at Video Microscopy with the SP100 microscope. These Euglena show up really well against the black background and you can see all the shifting colours inside them as they gently spin around and glide through the water.

I feel bad for doing this too the poor ant, but the opportunity was hard to pass up. I tried to kill it quickly while still preserving it, but it didn’t go so well as you will see. As usual these are filmed with a hand held camera through the eyepiece. Please Enjoy.
