experiment was done with usb microscope LEDs & magnifying glass. used magnifying glass to focus a 4 small spots of light (4 LEDs) onto the chip. moved the chip: 1. right to left 2. top to bottom 3. right bottom corner to top left corner Note: top is row 1 and left is column 1. the video shows the light source moving opposite ways because of the way the images are being plot.

Optical equipments are the most common tools used for treating human eye disorders. These work on a similar principle as the human eye. The development of this organ was used in a pattern usually required for designing optical tools. The equipments include photographic equipment. This is a Xerox copy of human eye. However, it is known to perform more accurately than the human eye in certain areas. These can also be utilized to enhance vision.
Here are certain important optical equipments widely used by the experts in the field of ophthalmology these days:
a) The magnifying glass: It is a type of converging lens that lets you see an object in a larger view. In comparison to the human eye, these converging lenses possess a very short focal distance. This makes it possible to enhance the visual angle. With the help of magnifying glass, it is easy to increase the size of an object visually. The size can be increased up to about 20 to 25 times. If you want to increase the size of an object more than this amount, you need to have a set of lenses usually found in a microscope.
b) The microscope: The microscope can be defined as an optical instrument that allows you to observe really small objects at real close distances.
The term is derived from a Greek word known as ‘mikros’. This word means small & skopein tool to observe. Usually, microscopes are constructed from a metal sleeve that has about two sets of lenses located at a specific distance from one another. Objective is lens that’s located at the end of the object. Ocular or eye piece is the lens that facilitates viewing through. There are microscopes that do not depend on light visible to human eye. These depend on ultra violet rays or electron radiation for enhanced magnification.
c) Make up glasses: These are eye glass frames used for allowing the application of makeup of the eye without the need to interfere lens or frame components. There is a bridge & temple connecting arrangement that facilitates the bridge & lenses supported in order to move upwardly & downwardly to successfully position the bridge highs & lower on the nose of the wearer.
d) Children frames: These are loved by both adults & children. These feature excellent durability & safety in order to provide you peace of mind. The designs are eye-catching.
e) Protection or safety glasses: These are safety glasses specially designed to give protection from injury to the wearer. However, these are not made to tolerate repeated abuse. You need to analyze these regularly for any scratches or cracks. In case you find any, replace them immediately.
f) Optical swimming goggles: These are available for both far sighted & short sighted people. The goggles also consist of all the feature required for regular swimming glasses & ensure excellent vision. These goggles have a lot of health benefits. These have the ability to protect your eyes from harsh chemicals present in the swimming pool & also from harmful micro organisms & bacteria in the water.
